My main contractor asked for a BIM model — where do I start?+
First, request the base architectural and structural model from your main contractor, or ask for access to their Common Data Environment (CDE) so we can work from the correct federated model. Then send us your 2D drawings — AutoCAD, PDF, or hand sketches. We'll review your scope, confirm what is needed, and give you a fixed price and delivery timeline. No BIM software or experience required on your end.
What does CORENET X mean for MEP subcontractors?+
Under CORENET X, your main contractor may need to submit a coordinated federated BIM model that includes your MEP systems. You are not required to submit to CORENET X yourself — but you may need to provide an IFC+SG compliant model of your scope. We build that model from your drawings and deliver it ready for federation and submission.
Can you work with PDF or 2D drawings?+
We obtain architectural and structural models from the main contractor or consultant. We can develop 3D MEP models from 2D formats, ensuring no clashes with the federated model.
How do you handle design changes and ongoing coordination?+
A dedicated BIM Manager handles your project in an ISO 19650-compliant environment. We update MEP systems as designs evolve and can conduct on-site meetings with advance notice.
